My Father, Arthur L. Greene, was an architect and my mentor. His love and understanding of design and construction became the basis of my education.
I drew and helped build my first house at age eighteen. It was a 4 bedroom, 3 bath, 4,500 sq. ft. family home.
My father insisted I work in multiple construction trades. After 3 to 6 months in one discipline he would quiz me on the trade and if he felt I knew enough, he would tell me it was time to go in to a new trade.

Early on in my professional career, I began as a CAD draftsman. My drawings became the standard for the Las Vegas Housing Authority. From there, I became a project coordinator and worked on The Palms Place townhouses. I then went into project management and worked on the Gorman High School Phase II project. My project leader then asked me to start working in construction administration full time. I truly enjoyed construction administration as it allowed me to act as the “go between” for the project owner and my firm.
When the construction market in Las Vegas dropped out, I decided it was time to move. I made my way to Texas and got a job with MMR. My first job with MMR was to create, spot, and document field routes for electrical and instrumentation on the offshore drill rig, Bigfoot and ensure the field route did not conflict with piping or structural elements. Once my assignment was completed, I was reassigned to the production rig, Jack St. Malo. With this assignment, I was tasked to help run the crews’ due time for accuracy, sign off on their time sheets, then take field tracking information and input the information into a database for project tracking. Before each day began, I would help line out the crews' assignments, make sure materials were available for the crews as needed, verify information on the construction documents was correct and, at times, work directly with the engineers to make corrections on the construction documents.
Since then, I was employed by Coonrod Electric as their CAD Manager creating as-built drawings and documenting field changes to existing construction documents. Shortly after, I took on the responsibility as one of their estimators.
Having been in all aspects of construction for 30 years, I’ve strived to honor my father’s memory by excelling in my chosen profession.
